, PhD, is a Qualified Supervisor for both Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy registered interns. For 12 years, she has been employed at an alternative school for at-promise adolescents. She has training in Somatic Experiencing trauma resolution. Additionally, Emi has implemented creativity and healing group activities at an inpatient crisis stabilization hospital. Her life purpose includes facilitating experiential activities in university courses related to holistic healthcare and connecting across diversity. Emi developed a training curriculum for helping professionals called: Color-Conscious Multicultural Mindfulness (CCMM). She has co-authored 8 scholarly publications, and has given over 35 professional presentations at international, national, regional, state, and local settings. Emi also facilitates sacred ceremonies such as weddings, funerals, and blessing way circles for life changing milestones.
