is an ordained officiant who has been invited to facilitate ceremonies, such as weddings and blessing ways. She is a doctoral student who greatly enjoys providing experiential activities in multiple graduate/undergraduate courses related to healthcare and mental health. Emi is in the process of becoming an Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher. She is an approved supervisor for both MH and MFT registered interns. She is currently in her second year of Somatic Experiencing Trauma Resolution training. Emi also works full time as a counselor and supervisor at an alternative school for underprivileged adolescent girls. Additionally, for 8 years, Emi implemented creative healing activities at an inpatient psychiatric hospital. Her research interests include mindfulness, connection, empathy and experiential education. She deeply loves participating in the activities of the Center for Spirituality and Health, and has been involved since its inception in 2006.
